About the Author

I was born in Ohio and raised in a working‑class family that taught me early what grit, responsibility, and survival really meant. My mother gave me compassion, my father gave me a work ethic, and the rest I learned the hard way — through life itself.

At seventeen, I joined the U.S. Navy. The ocean taught me discipline, resilience, and how small a man can feel in the face of something bigger than himself. When my service ended, the open highway called my name. I spent decades behind the wheel of an eighteen‑wheeler, hauling freight across America, watching the country change mile by mile.

I’ve known love, loss, heartbreak, and redemption. I’ve buried people I loved, rebuilt myself more than once, and learned that strength isn’t about how hard you stand — it’s about how many times you get back up.

This memoir isn’t just about trucking. It’s about the people who shaped me, the roads that tested me, and the moments that nearly broke me. It’s about family, faith, grit, and the long haul of a life lived honestly.

If my story reaches someone who’s been knocked down, someone who’s lost their way, or someone who just needs to know they’re not alone — then every mile was worth it.
